Question: Another for my guitar experts out there? washburn guitar?

I have a washburn X5 or X10 i think...but anyways im a beginner, and the hammer ons and pull offfs are barely noticeable , i cant even hear them, is it the guitar? and is this a good guitar for a beginner..my amp is pretty good its a line 6

It's pretty much impossible for it to be the guitar. The pickups register vibration, they don't know whether that vibration is the result of a hammer, a pull-off, or a strum. I would recommend adding compression, that should bring out the hammers and pulls a bit, but it also sounds like you just need to work on your technique a while. You'll get it.
