What are a few things to know before buying a used guitar?
I'm a lefty, btw.. if that effects anythingI'm a 14 year old girl, and it's my first guitar. An acoustic one.
Fixing a used guitar?
OKAY heres the deal. I got this guitar from ONLINE I KNOW.. I KNOW TOOK A HUGE RISK BY DOING SO.. But I paid 170 dollars for it. It is a vintage looks like a 70s h lable at the top les paul black guitar.I looked it over when I got it today and noticed alot of things.. WHEN you plug it in it works fine. Sound comes out and it tunes well.It plays but that usually doesnt tell you that the guitar is a good guitar. I looked closer to notice someone TOOK off the pic guard which I want back on.. IDK how hard to find one to fit it will be.thats just the start.I examined it further to notice the usuall. A change of strings but also it needs cleaned from the dust.I saw alot of RUST on the screws . that is the screws holding in the pickup. I turn the guitar over and noticed rust spots from the inside where the wires and coils are located from the outside. From where the seal of the crack is. that is eeh idk.. THen not to mention cracks on the fret board side where the plastic is cracked not the board just the side pieces. I also notices alot of stain and wear. any ideas on how much this would cost and is it worth getting it fixed?
What's the deal with used guitar amps?
Is it possible to find good, used guitar amps at a music store? when u got to a music store, they always wanting to sale you a new one. If I buy one out of the paper, I'm scared it won't have a garentee.
How Much Would You PAY? for a used guitar.?
I bought it about 5 years ago, for $150.It has a large paint scrape on the bottom, that is unnoticeable from the front view.I am selling it with the cable, amp, battery powered tuner, bag, and a couple guitar books and written chords. GUITARISTS- Would I be better off buying a new guitar or a nicer used guitar?
Hello All.I have only about 500 dollars to spend. I don't know whether I should buy a used Gibson they are usually at very least five years old or whether I should buy a new Epiphone. I am aware that Gibsons are supposed to be better instruments than Epiphones, but do you think the GIbson would be worth getting an older guitar? I played one of Epiphone low end guitars a G 310 , and was not impressed. Would this say something about the brand as a whole, or its lower end models only?I am not entirely sure about electric guitar maintenance, because up to this point, I've only really owned Acoustics. I don't know how much a decade can change the quality of an electric guitar. How long do electric guitars take to quit sounding Good? Thank You Best Answer will be awarded
Is it dumb to use guitar hero and/or rock band to get an idea rhythm for the song?
I mean its a rhythm game so thus meaning that the process of that must be accomplished.Ex. If your a bassist few are and I am one and proud of it most songs have low audible sound i guess most bands don't like bass .How can you get the right rhythm?You can hear it. However, what if the bass does something a little different compared to the guitar then what the fuck do you do?P.S I know it looks stupid playing the game but I like it cause it a co op game that almost everybody can play.

i have got guitar pro 4 and 5 .. and i am very passionate about learning guitar. i have very litlle knowledge about it and i cant understand any signs or symbols of it i am very keen to learn ... but in guitar pro i cant understand any thing because evrything is written in signs..... is there any way that i will be able to know them in short time.... plzzz help me out thank you..........
How to use guitar power tab?
i have downloaded a trial of power tab from ultimate guitar.com because there is a song that i really want to learn and the guy who played it on the video i saw said he used power tab. I'm somewhat of a beginner and I want this to be my very first whole song that i can learn. others on youtube said that the regular tabs are flawed so i haven't even tried those. the song is alter bridge in loving memory. if anyone can assist me it would be greatly appreciated since i only have, i believe two days with this trial. what should i do?

How to learn to use guitar pick?
I've been playing the guitar for a little over a month and so far I've just been finger picking. I know to advance my skill, I'm going to need to learn how to use a pick. It just doesn't feel natural though. Are there any good lessons to teach you how to use one?
