How far in music lessons could I get with a digital piano?
I have a fully weighted touch sensitive 88 key digital piano along with a sustain pedal, my question is how far could I get with it if I took music lessons? There will always be a difference between the feel and sound of a keyboard when compared to a real piano but I don't have the money or the space to get a piano. My main concern really is the durability of my keyboard since as I progress I will eventually play faster and harder songs which might break it down. Can a good digital piano substitute for a real piano? I really am hoping that it can at least take me to grade 5. Please recommend some good digital piano keyboards that you think can substitute a real piano for grade exams at least.Thank you
Help me with teaching private music lessons?
My ex music teacher is moving and has asked me to continue the private lessons of one of his students. She is 13 and plays the bass clarinet. I'm 17. From what I've heard of her playing we'll most likely be working on tone and getting her high notes, among other stuff obviously. I've never taught private lessons before, so do you have any tips? Should I work on a method book with her or just give her pieces and studies to work through? She'll also have music from school that I can help with. Should her lessons go for 30 or 40 minutes and is $20 AUD too much to charge?

Would you say that formal music lessons/classes have improved your listening experience?
I have had Piano Lessons, Clarinet Lessons, and Guitar lessons and I understand Music Theory. Personally I would say that my formal training has led to a more intricate understanding and appreciation for music. Would you say that your formal music training has helped or hindered your music appreciation. Also looking for answers from those without formal training.

My family is pretty much broke and I finally got my hands on an electric guitar my generous friend gifted me but I can't afford classes and I don't know anyone that knows how to play. Or at least teach. So is there any program teach people to play guitar for free around Denver? Or in exchange of community service or something?
Should I quit my music lessons?
My school life is demanding. I always have to do things that get in the way of having my guitar lessons eg. illness, off campus teaching, tests...I have had around 6 7 guitar lessons. I've gone to 1. I feel the need now to avoid my teacher and the teacher who sorted the lessons out for me.Should I quit my lessons? Oh, and if I do, I will continue playing the guitar self teaching .and how should i go about doing it? i have around 3 4 maybe 5 lessons left. should i skip them and then at the start of the new term quit?also, i heard if you skip 2 lessons you get kicked off the music list but that hasn't happened...

If you were offered Piano, Ukulele, and Guitar, what would you pay to be taught each of them? please pretend you would like to learn them even if you don't and recommend a price you'd pay Hour long sessions with an experienced teacher. So, most of my classmates know a lot more that me and my mom wants to send me to music lessons outside of school. Problem is that there are none we found yet.
