Learn How To Play Guitar & Guitar Accessories

Question: What is a good way to start learning the guitar for someone who knows almost nothing about music?

I've had a guitar for about 3 years now and have made various attempts to learn, but unfortunately most of my friends who play are less then helpful in the advice area. In the past I've had people demonstrate to me how to play small parts of songs, but I find this leaves me completely crippled when I want to start branching out or learning things like chords, so I was wondering if there are any good self- teaching guide, websites or books out there for people who needs the a lot of help and know very little.

Get some1 to explain tabs to you.. theyre fairly easy.. then use ultimate-guitar.com to find tabs and u can work ur way towards more complocated ones when you find something u want to learn.. some of themhave chord diagrams.. that and youtube lessons etc (Y)

The best way is to find a decent teacher, even if you dont have many lessons its the best, fastest and easiest way to learn, and you dont develop bad habbits ps. most lessons on youtube, and free online in general, are utter b.s from my experience
