What was your biggest problem when learning the guitar?
Just out of curiosity I was wondering, what did you struggle with most when learning the guitar as a beginner?

Well i'm just beginning to play guitar but, i'm broke as s it so I can't get classes, and my mom doesn't let me take classes unless they're free. So are their any good DVDS I can buy to teach me? I have ADD so playing guitar is like, a challenge for my brain..Oh look a bunny But seriously, thanks.
What is a good way to start learning the guitar for someone who knows almost nothing about music?
I've had a guitar for about 3 years now and have made various attempts to learn, but unfortunately most of my friends who play are less then helpful in the advice area. In the past I've had people demonstrate to me how to play small parts of songs, but I find this leaves me completely crippled when I want to start branching out or learning things like chords, so I was wondering if there are any good self teaching guide, websites or books out there for people who needs the a lot of help and know very little.
When learning the guitar is there an easy way to remember the chords?
As soon as I learn a new one I forget the 3 I already knew How can I remember the fingering?

I'm learning the guitar and I have a few questions!?
I've just started teaching myself the guitar, I will get a tutor soon but for now I'm just teaching myself all I can.I'm playing on my mum's old accoustic at the moment and I can't stretch my fingers around the wide neck. I know this is common in guitar playing so I was wondering if there are any slim necked accoustics out there?Also, picks. I know there are different types, what type is best for a beginner?I had a go on my uncle's electric and I loved it, how much are electric guitars? And amps? They're probably like 3 grand or something I can't afford, so are there any places that sell second hand electrics something better than ebay .?Thankyou in advance

Should I try to learn the Guitar or Keyboard?
I'm starting singing classes soon, and I've played the flute for 7 years. I'll also have classes on music theory and perception. My question is, as I already play the flute, I'm interested in learning an instrument that let me play harmonics to complement the singing classes , but, which one do you guys recommend? I'll have to " learn" it on my own, because I just can't afford any more classes. Sorry for my english, not my native language.

Learning the Guitar - does this sound right?
I have been trying to teach myself guitar, following an instructional DVD. However, when I play the chords, it doesn t sound nearly as good as the guy on the video. I know a lot has to do with inexperience and a cheap guitar, but it should sound somewhat similar, right? My electronic guitar tuner says it s tuned. HELP ME LEARN THE GUITAR PLEASE?
hi folksi am madly interested to learn the guitar.i am about 20 days old in guitar learning courses.i basically learn by videos on you tube and other sites. i know a few chords like A, Am, G,D,and F .it is damn easy to play a single chord.but while changing chords for simple progressions like A D Ei find it very difficult to maintain rhythm as it takes longer to change the chord without any disturbance in the rhythm. please tell me any tips that will help me to change simple chords. as i am unable to progress ...thanksgod bless u
