Learn How To Play Guitar & Guitar Accessories

Question: I want to learn how to play the guitar or the drums. which is the easiest to learn?

Please explain why and any brands you reccomend. Also, whats the difference between an electric guitar and an acoustic guitar? is one easier? any info will help

I play both. personally i think guitar is a little harder. They are both out of your mind fun i play each at least an hour a day. I think drums are a little easier. With guitar its a lot easier to get in the i hate this i want to quit mood. But no matter which one you pick it might be a little boring at first and frustrating but don't give up i was like that. But trust me once you get good it comes a lot easier and it is a lot funner too. But it basically comes down to personal choice. p.s. i have an acoustic and electric. I think as a beginner an acoustic is a little easier to play. An electric is funner in my opinion however. But on which guitar to buy it depends on the style of music you like. Oh and with an electric it doesen't matter as much about the guitar, all you need is a good amplifier. And you can tell the sound difference between a cheap acoustic and an expensive one. oh and for drums go with pearl and ziljian symbols or a full tama set and guitar fender or gibson but for a beginner i would go with ibanez P.S. guitar center is the best place to shop.

It is harder to reach a beginners level at guitar than drums but harder to reach an advanced level on drums than guitar. So if you just want to be a so-so drummer that will be easier than becoming a so-so guitarist. But if your goal is to be really good not only are drums harder, but some folks just don't have all of the natural physical attributes to become a great drummer. Sad but true. I can tell you as a long time professional musician that there are 100 great guitarist for every 1 great drummer, and what I just said is the exact reason.
