I play the piano, and want to learn how to play the guitar- will it be really hard changing from instrument?
I've been playing piano for about six years now. I do enjoy it, but I orginally wanted to play the guitar. Because my parents played the piano, I was sort of forced into that instead. I want to try something different now after so long...will it be really hard to switch instruments? I remember learning piano was hard, my fingers were all stiff...there's none of that now though. Does my playing the piano help at all?

Need some advice on learning how to play the guitar?
Yes, I know i've already posted this but I thought I'd put it in a different section to see if I got more answers Ok so i'm a thirteen year old girl, wanting to learn how to play guitar. I don't really want to play professionally, I'd rather play as a hobby. My dad knows someone that can teach me for free..but the thing is I would much much rather play electric guitar instead of acoustic, but my dad has told me I have to learn on acoustic and then move onto electric. Is this true? And could anyone please recommend some good electric guitar brands? I quite like the look of fender stratocaster standards, and they're also not too expensive but then again I don't know anything about guitars at all Thank you xx
