Both are pretty easy to learn. It boils down to how passionate you are about learning to play. I taught myself the bass and was playing on a professional level within about 6 months. However I was in a unique position of being surrounded by other professional musicians and able to play and practice 24/ 7 (my jamming partners and I were in the Army in Germany, entered a battle of the bands, won, and was assigned to Special Services playing the clubs on the European Circuit). After leaving the Army I continued playing the bass but decided to teach myself a little something about the piano and that helped my bass playing tremendously. Knowing the theory about scales, chord structure, modes and the like opened everything up for me as far as the bass is concerned. I would suggest learning the piano first and then transfering that knowledge over to the bass.

I taught myself guitar, it's really easy to pick up, but i had a lot of background knowledge already (i already played piano and cello) i imagine piano would be quite easy to learn too, i suppose its just learning to use both hands at the same time. guitar would be easier, i think. good luck!

I think piano because i get taught guitar and have half taught myself the keyboard and I find that with practice the piano is easier to pick up without help. But when you learn i find it easier to get hold of guitar music on the internet and things rather than piano music. Sorry i don't think that was actually much help.

Guitar most def. it's tougher to learn piano because you have to learn to read music. guitar is just tab. it;s harder on your fingers, but it's soooo much easier than piano. i play both.
