Question: How to learn how to play the guitar?

I recently purchased a guitar as it is something that I have wanted to do for several years. I would really like to get lessons but unfortunately my schedule seems to conflict with any viable teacher. I was wondering if anyone knew of any great online sources I could use until my schedule becomes more accommodating to getting lessons. I really don't want this to be something that put off.

Best thing is to buy a self teaching book. Go to any music store to find them. You can go up to a fair degree of competency from these books, then you need to get lessons. Some things like complex explanations, playing with other people, tuning, and timing need to come from a person. You can get started though today.
