Just to set the record straight...you *DO* own an acoustic....Any guitar that doesn't need an amplifier is an acoustic. There are several categories of acoustic, and classical (nylon stringed) is one type. I'll bet that you're referring to a "steel stringed " acoustic. (not to be confused with a steel guitar) Do you *need* a steel stringed guitar? Well it's all about the sound. If you're playing music that's normally played on a steel stringed acoustic...and want it to sound correct....then you need one. The classical guitar is mainly used for Spanish, flamenco, and classical music. You can play anything you desire on a classical guitar...so you don't absolutely need a steel string. OTOH, if you're into electric guitar and playing mostly pop/ rock/ folk/ blues/ jazz, then maybe a steel stringed acoustic would me more appropriate for you. BTW, you can never have too many guitars....................

If you have a use for one, yes. It's up to you.

I agree with Tommy Mc. Can't have too many. Just don't tell my wife I said that. Steve
