Learn How To Play Guitar & Guitar Accessories

Question: Will it be a wise decision to start learning guitar and quit playing bass?

I RECENTLY CAME ACROSS THE ALBUM CONTINUUM OF JOHN MAYER AND INSTANTLY FELL WITH THE GUITAR WORKS ON 'SLOW DANCING..'N'BOLD AS LOVE', EVER SINCE THEN ALL I WANT TO DO IS PLAY STUFF LIKE THAT.i KNOW HOW TO PLAY BASS GUITAR I HAVE BEEN PLAYING IT FOR OVER TWO YEARS NOW N I AM NOT BAD AT IT.BUT I AM IN A DILEMMA N CANT B SURE OF WHETHER I SHOULD SHIFT FROM BASS TO GUITAR.BUT FOR NOW I REALLY WANNA PLAY BLUES ON GUITAR.WHAT SHOULD I DO?

You can play both... But remember, for every good bass player, there's at least 100 average guitar players.

You should turn your caps lock off first, and then pick up Axis: Bold as Love by Jimi Hendrix and learn about who really wrote that song. And why can't you learn both?

Who says you have to drop bass to play guitar? You can play both. Nice to hear someone is interested in blues guitar rather than that hardcore crap that 99% of the kids today are playing. But if you're asking what you should major in, it depends what your going for. If you want to play blues guitar, then play blues guitar.

If you can't do both, then sell the Bass and get a guitar. You have to do what you want. If you stick with Bass, but really want to play blues guitar, you will always regret never learning. If you can do both, go for it. Practice a little on the Bass and a little more on the guitar.
