Question: Any good tips to become a really good rock guitar player?

Any good tips to become a really good rock guitar player? i started palying bout 2 nd 1/ 2 years ago and i spose i'm an intermediate - my teacher taught me lots of acoustic stuff like finger pickering which i'm awsome at but i really wanna play rock - i can play stuff like stairway to heaven - led zepllin, plug in baby - muse ect... but there just riffs any good tips so i can get better?

Listen to those you consider the best,over and over, and then practice ,practice and more practice

Pick your fave rock song and learn it, all of it! even the solo's. I'm a drummer in a rock band my guitarist is awsome, he learnt how to play by practising all the rock songs he loved i'd say you could do the same. I also recommend you join a band, Joining a band helps you learn faster as your working with the raw materials of music! ROCK ON!!!

A lot of pratice... theres a program that helped me A BUNCH called Guitar Pro you should try it out.

I think u should follow ur heart and go out and be a rock guitar player.find some peices of rock music on the internet and see if u can play them. maby ask ur teach for some peices of rock music and practise those while u have got the chance. then maby as u get older u can find ur own band or maby someone will looking fo a rock guitar player and then u have got the chance to shine. that is if u actually perfom in front of a whole heap of people. so mabye take my advice into consideration or not but what ever happens ur friends and family will always beleive in u. from kaitlin

Lots of practice & learn as many songs as possible. There's a surplus of great guitar players out there. I think songwriting is more important. Every time I've communicated with a serious band, it was always the songwriting they were worried about.
