Question: Do speed metal guitarists annoy you in guitar stores?

I find it annoying when there's a speed metal guitarist playing super loud to get all the attention, and playing generic shredding licks over and over again. It's not always speed metal but I think you know what I mean. They usually are talented but have no originality. I'm not dissing speed metal in any way.

I really don't mind them nearly as much as the alt pop punk guitarists. I mean, they just play that crappy, 'my girlfriend dumped me and it's the end of the world' crap.

Lol, yeah it kinda reminds me of that episode of southpark where everybody starts hating on the harley bikers for being so obnoxious. They burn through some pentatonic scales and look around to see if they awed some guitar noob. Its pretty common.

Yes its damn annoying like when you want to Buy a new guitar and you are testing it out but cant really test it because these guys think they all that and play as loud as possible

Hmf i dont like ANYBODY blaring their guitar in a guitar shop, its annoying as fuck! it's even more annoying when someone plays hardcore chug riffs really loud like its cool.. at least the people playing speed metal are dishing out something talented but i still go by the 1st sentence i wrote

I go to guitar stores to shop, not to pay attention to what others are doing. At every guitar shop there's always going to be some noob trying to play some mediocre Metallica riff as loud as they can, or some show-off trying to look cool, walk past them and keep shopping. Ignoring others really isn't that hard to do.

Yep...people are pretty much always either shredding or unleashing tired blues chops in my local guitar store ( & that's just the staff!).I actually find it pretty funny personally, but I can see how it could potentially be super-annoying.
