Learn How To Play Guitar & Guitar Accessories

Question: Are there any good books for guitar instruction. i have some background but not much?

Im trying to find a good book to teach me to play the guitar. I took lessons but they were too expensive and i stopped playing for awhile. Im looking to get playing again but Im still a beginner. Any books or DVD's you recommend?

Alfred's Basic Guitar Method 1 i used that in school and it teaches you just about every thing :)

Mel Bay is an old standby good for learning your chords and the Guitar Bible is good for learning scales.

Arlen Roth did a lot of stuff back in the day. "Hot Licks " was the name of the series. Check around the internet.

Try fretboard logic it comes in both book and dvd. you can buy fretboard logic at guitar center. highly recommend fretboard logic. I tried every book found them to be a waste of time and money
