Im a beginner and i want to mimick all the riffs of my favorite guitarists like all beginner guitarists. I'm trying to learn Taylor Swift's Speak Now, but the G chord is too uncomfortable for me to play. I think the guitar I'm using is too large, I can't seam to position my fingers correctly without my hand turning into this weird contortion of discomfort Any tips on the correct position for my left hand? Or is this normal, and eventually I'll get used to it? Also, I learn better if I have an actual song to play. What are some simple modern songs that will be easy for a beginner like me to play? Guitar for beginners?
Ive always wanted to play guitar and now i'm in a good financial position to buy a guitar and pay for lessons so i've been looking around on the internet for guitars and I just have no clue where to start. I've been looking at the Yamaha f310 on Amazon, it's got good reviews on the site but not so good reviews on other websites. My price range is around 100 150, 200 at a push. Just wondering what brand people would recommend and if i'm being really really unrealistic in that price range? I want a guitar that has a good sound and will last me through the Absolute Beginner Beginner and the now where getting somewhere stages.
Acoustic guitar for beginner under $250..?
My daughter just turned 13 yrs old and she wants an acoustic guitar. She is about 5' 2 and weighs less than 100 lbs. I don't want to spend more than $250. It could also be an acoustic electric guitar. Any recommendations? I'm also open to buying her a good used guitar. Thanks everyone I forgot to add that since she is petite, I want a guitar that she can handle.
Is Taylor a good brand of acoustic guitars for beginners?
I can sort of play the keyboard, I do not really play any other instruments. I cannot read music notes but I know the basics. I want to become a singer songwriter and I want to learn to play the acoustic guitar. As a beginner I found two Taylor acoustic guitars online at Best Buy that are cheap enough for me to save my money and buy one of them. I would like to know if it is a reliable brand for beginners.
