Whats the difference between Practice, Combo, Head and Cab guitar amps?
Im just looking into buying a guitar amp. But I've only just started guitar and i have no idea what these different types do. They just popped up when i clicked on guitar amps on a website. Thanks

Ive got a choice of 2 amps i found that are reduced price. can either get a 60W amp that has all the usual stuff, 2 channels, treble, middle, bass etc but it also has reverb. or a 75W amp thats pretty much the same only without reverb. Ive no idea which to choose D

Please only awnser if you know alot about amps.There are 2 kind of amp I would like, they are both solid state amps heads.1.Mashall MG100HFX 270 euro 350 dollar, 200 UK pounds 2.Behringer VT100FXH 150 euro 200 dollar, 110 UK pounds I saw a comment on youtube say they sound the same, do they?My budget now is about 300 euro. I earn about 60 euro a month should I buy one of these amps, or should I wait and buy a more expandsive one?I don't gig, I play guitar for about 3 months now, and I have a Fender Bullet strat with a cheap 30 euro amp 10watt .
Help with guitar amps please.?
I just got an electric guitar the other day, i got the chord that goes into the guitar too. both ends of the chord are the same. My dads Yamaha stereo receiver has the same input output i don't know anything about input and such but it fits into it. I haven't plugged the other end into my guitar yet because I'm scared it might blow up or something? If anyone could tell me if i can use it like a guitar amplifier. Its a Yamaha natural sound av receiver htr 5550. I just want to know if it will damage it or not. Thanks best answer will get points

Hooking 2 bass guitar amps together?
I have 2 bass guitar amps I want to run together, one is an ampeg b2r head with an ampeg svt410hlf cabinet, the other is an ampeg b2r head with a JBL 2 15 cabinet. would it be better to run pre amp out of one to the others input or would an A B Y switch be the better way to go? any other suggestions? Thanks
Questions about guitar amps?
I just got an electric guitar and an amp few days ago, and I've been playing on acoustic for about two years.Since I'm new to the whole electric things, I can't get the sound I want from my amp, which is Peavey Vypyr 15 W. It's not the best amp but it was cheap.. pI have few questionswhenever I play two notes like.. 14th fret on high e string and 14th on g string on the rhythm pickup, I hear this sound that kinda bothers me..I know lots of bluesy songs actually use it as purpose, but how do I reduce that noise? and what is it called?another question whatever setting i put on my amp, it just sounds too distorted.. and if I reduce the pre post gain, it doesn't sound very nice.I want to play lots of Guns N' Roses and old band songs.. if anyone know any good settings or suggestion, I would appreciate it.Thanksand I have epiphone LP standard if that matters.
Good/Cheap Guitar Amps For Metalcore/Rock?
I'm looking to buy a guitar amp for around $200 350 something that has nice tone.. delays, distortion ect. basically a good amp for a novice player. BTW a couple amps that have a sound i'm looking for are peavey 6505, Orange TH30H i know i won't find an amp with those exact sounds for the price i want. But something similar is what i need. Thanks D
