Question: What are some guitar accessories that would help make a guitarists life easier?

I have 250$ and I want to blow it on all guitar accessories. I have good guitars and amps, but I want to get some things that most guitarists wouldn't think of getting that would make my guitar life funner/ easier. So thank you for your help!

I usually invest all of my money on new gear! I would strongly recommend joining a community of recording enthusiasts like audioneeds.com - Forums are great because they're free and there are usually tons of people there who are willing to answer your questions and help guide you toward the direction you want to head. I'm sure it'll help :)

Get a wah, chorus, phase shifter, envelope filter, slide, capo, delay, the list goes on and on...

Easier: 1. A noise gate. If you use pedals like most guitarists do, you probably get a fuzzy noise coming through your amp due to all the pedals. A noise gate stops the fuzz and adds clarity to your tone. 2. A volume pedal. If your a gigging guitarist and don't have a volume pedal, things on stage can be pretty difficult. A volume pedal can turn down your volume for quieter rhythm sections and can turn up during a solo. Hope dat helps.

You could spend that money and get 1 or 2 of your guitars "set-up " by a pro. This WILL make the guitar both easier and more fun to play! Or.....You could buy a 250 dollar guitar cable The thing that most guitarist don't think about, are the quality of cables your using. It makes a huge difference in the quality of your signal. You said you have a good guitars and amps, but if you're using a cheaper guitar cord you are really cutting yourself short. Cables come on a very wide range of prices anywhere from tens to hundreds of dollars for the same length of cable. You pay for what you get This goes for the speaker cable connecting your Amp and Cabinet as well. Don't waste your money on effects and pedals you don't even want. Bells and whistles don't do much without the meat and potatoes to back them up.

1. Hard shell case. You don't want your guitar getting damaged in a soft gig-bag, even though a gig bag would be cheaper and would definitely be better than nothing. 2. As many cables as you can afford. I can't tell you how many times I've had a gig or recording session and didn't realize I was short on cables until the most inconvenient time. 3. A tuner. Preferably a pedal tuner. Fender sells a cheap one that has never let me down. 4. A pick holder. Supply yourself with hundreds of picks and get in the habit of putting picks back in the pick holder. You can even stick them to the back of the head of the guitar. 5. Extra strings. 6. Pedal bag. Keeping your pedals in a bag (if you have multiple) is always a plus. Especially when you have them already plugged in and layed out in your bag. If you don't want to spend the money on a pedal bag, I used a laptop case. Worked like a charm. 7. Strap lock systems are pretty dandy as well.

Something that hasn't been mentioned, that I love having, is a decent guitar stool. You can get the ones emblazoned with Fender or Gibson..etc for less than 1 bill. A digital recorder A condenser mic Personalized guitar picks You could get a personalized guitar strap from "Jody Head " (do a search). She makes straps for all the stars. If I had $250 to blow right now, I would probably get a semi-decent nylon string guitar, or invest in music recording software. Happy Holidays!
