Hi, go to guitarmanual.typepad.com it has the best step by step lessons in a downloadable ebook that walks you through exactly what to play for a beginner to become advanced, if you are already advanced you can move on to the music theory section, that teaches you how to use scales , major, minor, and pentatonic and their modes, how to build any chord type in any key through chord construction lessons, also has a reference guide w/ chord charts and lists of each chord in each key, and much more, posts/ videos, email help etc.... good luck

For the best lessons that you will get for free, I would try about.com, they have guitar lessons on there and after each lesson they teach you some new songs to try.

Hey I see that you are looking for some online guitar lessons. Have you seen the Jamorama website which is apparently very good. At the moment they also have 6 free lessons for you so that may be worth you taking a look at.
