Unless you really can't learn on your own, or you just like to be around people. Buy a couple of books, you will learn faster. I learned faster than people that took the lessons, and saved money too.

Not sure but all i know is that i have a guitar person and shes really nice and shes good but its in the usa wa.

Mazy, get an acoustic (not too cheap) with a soft fret feel, also steel strings (no nylon), first. Learn some chords. (recommended)...or a decent electric that will tune OK around $200.00 and a $99.00 amplifier. I'll contact my cousin in San Antone for references. Local small shops are usually the best.
