Can you buy a good beginners guitar for only?

Question: Can you buy a good beginners guitar for only?

(Posted by: on 2010-04-14 09:40:05)

For only $100??? And what type of guitar should I get?(I want acoustic, but what type?) I'll be playing mostly rock music (Like paramore not metallica >_ >) and sometimes country maybe (Taylor Swift). I'd really like a good quality guitar for beginners for my buget. (And how much is a special color, like if I wanted green or purple?)

You can get a guitar to learn on for $100 new but not a really good one. You really want to get a solid top acoustic if possible. The best deal I know of personally is the Yamaha FG720S which sells new for $279. You may be able to find a used one in your price range though. Below is a link to the FG720 as well as a list of several acoustic and electric/ acoustic's in your price range. guitars.musiciansfriend.com/ product/ Yamaha-FG720S-Acoustic-Guitar?sku= 519168 guitars.musiciansfriend.com/ navigation/ acoustic-guitars?N= 100001+ 304276+ 7 guitars.musiciansfriend.com/ navigation/ acoustic-electric-guitars?N= 100001+ 304277+ 7

They have these awesome little starter packs that come with a cheap reliable guitar and small amp. I dont mean cheap in a bad way either. And they also have the same for acoustic guitars. dont go to big with your first guitar, see if you like it first. color depends on the guitar. Usually when you want a colored guitar it increases the price about 25 bucks

You would probably end up paying at least $200 for a beginner acoustic.. which is what I paid for my first guitar. Fender I believe makes value packs for around that price.

Hey...I "m so glad you want to pick up guitar....from a player to a beginner it's a great instrument. Yes..you can buy great beginner guitars for $100.00..I'd look at epiphone, fender, yamaha, ibanez..they all make great beginning-mid level guitars. Just contact your local dealer or go to these sites like guitars.musicfriends.com...music123.com...guitarcenter.com...are great places to look. Also, they usually have great deals going on, and coupons distributed toward site members. Also, in my opinion a better way, is to find a local guitar store and ask the clerk. They are usually knowledgeable and will direct you to the section/ makers that offer great starters kit...this is how I got started. You can also find great packs that have both a case.books...picks...and etc. Never hesitate to go their first. What I recommend, if it's at all possible, try to see if you can save up another 50-100 dollars...the quality and packs you can get for that are amazing...you can even start getting Martins. But if you can't it's fine...don't stress on the quality of the guitar when you first start out. I promise you the sound will be fine and you'll enjoy learning. People often make the mistake expensive guitars are easier to learn on..in fact they are harder...they demand greater attention...knowledge...and I wouldn't look for a better guitar until you have been playing for 2-5 years (depending on your advancement) I hope this helped...if you have more questions let me know. It's a great instrument to learn and beginner friendly...I hope you make beautiful music -Phillip
