Question: Learning the accoustic?

I know my basic chords, cheat on bar chords, my fingers can't get accross the whole kneck so like B minor or Cminor I use the 1st, 2nd & 3rd string. I play a lot of Bob Dylan songs and I love the song by Neil Young Old laughing lady, the unplugged version. I have bad strumming though. How can I fix this? It seems my hand only wants to do what it wants to do. I can basically play a song, but anybody who plays would notice it. I will be taking a guitar class in college as an elective on finger picking , notes, and proper handling, I hope they teach strumming. I wanted to learn by myself, but maybe it would be easier to be taught so i can play |
