Believe me, I know what it's like when you can't play your guitar chords and your fingers are killing you…when you’re trying to learn chords and you can't seem to switch from one chord to the next…when you can't seem to make your strumming patterns half-way decent. You just want to give up.

I teach guitar
for a living and every student is important
to me. I even consider my

you play guitar as well as you want to.
You may well ask: Why
should I listen to you? How can you help me? Well,
if I may...
It all started when
I was 10 years old.
I began to learn guitar on
my own. I tried to learn everything I could…how to tune the
guitar, how to play all the basic chords, how to change my
guitar strings…I did this wrong and ended up with the winding
going the wrong way. Another guitarist saw my strings and asked
me who changed them last. When I told him I had, he called me a
moron and showed me the correct way to do it…
At first, I also got a lot of dead string noise with my chord
playing and really sore fingers. Learning to play guitar was
quite a struggle in the beginning.
But I didn't give up. I knew
I wanted to play guitar for the rest of my life! Eventually, I
got some guitar lessons from a very talented teacher at
Berkeley College of Music in Boston.
I also saved every penny I could to attend the Guitar
Institute of Technology,
a guitar school in Atlanta, Georgia. I studied all styles
of music written for the guitar and guitar theory…an intense
learning experience…and money well spent.

And guess what? I got pretty good at playing guitar. I started
to work in bands and make money playing my ax:) I even
toured with one band for two years after I won its talent search

To cut short my long
story, I’ve slowed way down with the touring…I still do some gigs here and
there, but mainly I teach guitar.
I learned a lot of stuff the hard way when I started out, and that
experience made me a better player. I
know it takes time to learn guitar and you need proper guidance to play well
and play right.
